Weekly Class Structure
Adventures in the Alphabet
Each week we will navigate through the alphabet by reading a book about an animal or object that begins with the letter of the week and the craft we will create will be tied into the letter of the week as well. In addition, we will celebrate holidays with holiday inspired stories and crafts.
Birthday celebrations are also very special! We sing Happy Birthday, read our "traditional birthday story", have a special birthday treat and each birthday child gets a crown and small gift (usually a book).
Class Structure
- Free play/socialization with others and clean-up time
- "Mat/Lap" time which includes introduction to our letter of the week, songs, as well as discussions about weather, days of the week, month of the year, seasons and upcoming holidays
- Story time
- Music / Movement /Word Window Activity
- Snack time (healthy snacks such as goldfish, pretzels and water will be served)
- Craft time
- Parachute activity and closing songs
Policy Matters
- The year is broken up into two semesters: Semester 1 (Sep - Jan) & Semester 2 (Feb - June). Classes are split up into two Sessions on each Wednesday: Session A (9:15am – 10:30am) & Session B (11:15am – 12:30pm).
- If you miss any session, you are free to attend both Sessions in the next week. You can not carry over a missed session to the next semester. I am always free to work with you if a special circumstance arises. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions - 718-208-4495.
- Sign-ups after classes begin will be prorated by the number of classes remaining in the semester at the time of sign-up.
- Any infants (under 1 years old) are welcome to accompany their big sisters and brothers free of charge, so no worries about getting a babysitter!
